Counselor, Coder, Author, Ian Felton

Ian Felton has more than twenty years of professional experience writing software for organizations such as NASA, Mayo Clinic, Thomson Reuters, and many more.

He is the author of, “The Coding Samurai - The Way of the Computer Warrior.” The book is inspired by decades of working in IT and studying eastern philosophy. The central theme of the book is how ancient wisdom is more relevant today than ever in our fast-paced, technology-driven culture. Ian is also a published author of haibun, a prosemetric Japanese form of writing, mainly centered around travel and journeys to far-off places.

Currently, in addition to being a software consultant, he works as a career and life coach for those in IT, and as a psychotherapist / counselor.

In addition to writing and wildlife photography, his interests include bass guitar, practicing meditation, and several Chinese martial arts. He’s completing a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services in 2018.
